2015 Polk County High School Video Contest from Lakeland Automall Ford & Hyundai

Lakeland Auotmall Ford & Hyundai is proud to announce the 2015 Polk County High School Video Contest. This is the first year Lakeland Automall president Greg Balasco is sponsoring a $5,000 grand prize for the Polk County High School who produces a 30 second commercial about Ford or Hyundai or both (only one prize will be offered).

Starting today and running through March 15, 2015, Polk County Florida High School Students can create a creative commercial and submit the production for a chance to win $5,000 for their school. The 2015 High School Video Contest www.HighSchoolVideoContest.com official rules and restrictions were posted live and students in grades 9-12 who attend Polk County schools are eligible.

“We’ve been trying to think of something to get the students, high schools and community involved in that can generate interest and competition.” Said Greg Balasco, President of Lakeland Automall Ford & Hyundai. “What better way than to have a creative competition that can involve many different aspects of education while building strength through online competition.”

The contest deadline on March 15 is only the first step of the competition. After the videos are submitted, students, friends, family and complete strangers will have the opportunity to view and vote on all of the entries and select finalists. The first round of voting is for 30 days and ends April 15th, 2015. The videos with the highest votes, shares, likes and posts on social media will be selected as finalists and then go into a competitive run-off until May 1, 2015. The last 2 weeks of competition will coincide with promotions and additional online advertising encouraging everyone to vote for their favorite video. The competition will close on May 1, 2015 and the Winner will be announced in cooperation with the annual Polk County video awards in Lakeland Florida on May 5, 2015.

We encourage everyone to visit www.HighSchoolVideoContest.com and vote for your favorite video beginning March 1. If you know a Polk County High School student, have them get with their instructor and get working on a submission for the competition. Make sure they read the rules because there is only one entry per category per school – so make sure you put your best effort forward and Good Luck!
