LAKELAND, FL – JUNE 13, 2014 – Lakeland Ford, in partnership with Operation Gratitude, invites Lakeland and surrounding communities to “Go Further for Our Troops” in an effort to donate for Operation Gratitude. For every person who takes the wheel and test-drives a new Ford vehicle at Lakeland Ford between June 13 and 22, Lakeland Ford will donate funds for one care package to Operation Gratitude, which will be distributed to Military service members.
“The Military and their families are always on our minds this time of year, but we often don’t realize the need they have for everyday items that we may take for granted,” said Sean Sullivan, Sales Manager at Lakeland Ford. “We’re excited to raise money for Operation Gratitude and send care packages to those who risk their lives every day for our country.”
In addition to helping raise the funds for the care packages, drivers will be able to create a personalized message to be included in the package, which will be donated on their behalf.
Care Packages include snacks, entertainment items, personal letters of appreciation and other needed items, and are sent to deployed Military members, their families, care givers, Veterans, first responders and Wounded Warriors through Operation Gratitude.
Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license to participate. All test-drives will last approximately 7 – 10 minutes
