From Hope On Wheels Program Director, Zafar Brooks:
We have been anxiously waiting for this day and I am pleased to announce the official launch of our 16th year program in the fight to end childhood cancer! I couldn’t think of a better place than New York City for our annual kick-off. New York has so much energy and is a place most people have at the top of their travel wish list.
Today, some of our friends will join the Hope On Wheels team on stage at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for our annual launch program. We will introduce our two new National Youth Ambassadors, Ashley Burnette and Kenny Thomas. They will be joined by our special guest singer Michelle Williams. We are honored to have Michelle lend her talented voice to our call for greater awareness for pediatric cancer. You can read more about the National Youth Ambassadors and Michelle Williams in the sections below. Finally, Hyundai Motor America’s new CEO, Dave Zuchowski, is also going to be joining us. Throughout the day, you may see Dave talking to numerous television anchors and reporters about this great cause.
Since Hope On Wheels began, we have come a long way – both with cancer research and with our program. Hope On Wheels would not be here today if it wasn’t for Hyundai and its dedicated dealers, our incredible doctors and researchers, our online community, and of course, the children and families who inspire our commitment every day. But as we mark Hope On Wheels’ 16th anniversary, we have just one wish…to end childhood cancer.
