Ford challenged – and dealerships across America delivered

 

On the first week of October, Ford began a contest and dubbed it the “Social Showdown Contest”.  Participating dealerships across America were challenged to submit a creative, 30-second-or-less video describing the 2017 Ford Fusion or Escape every week until December 18th. Winners have been chosen weekly and given the grand prize ($200) accordingly.

Lakeland Automall entered the game in Week 5 (Fusion Technology) and hit the ground running with a win! Then, another win in Week 8 (Escape Interior).

The entire purpose of this contest and its submissions are to educate people and get them excited about the vast array of capabilities that Ford vehicles have, specifically the 2017 Fusion and Escape.

Lakeland Automall’s contest submissions feature five Ford Sales Reps: Matthew Gould, Blake Hollingsworth, Matthew Robinson, Trevor Baggette, and Charlie Pergament. For the last few weeks, they have continually delivered humorous 30-second spots covering Ford vehicle topics. These videos have featured Matthew Robinson as the punchline and have gained a lot of attention for their witty humor. The contest submissions, centered around the concept “Don’t Be Him”, depict a customer interested in purchasing a car, but preferring to do things the old-fashioned way – hence, the “Don’t Be Him” theme.

It is now Week 10, and we are as excited as ever to finish off this contest strongly. Follow our Facebook Page (Lakeland Automall) to see how our quirky salesmen will show off a Ford this week and next week, ending this contest.
